How I Refreshed My Bedroom on a Budget

Having a space you love is important. Especially when you spend the majority of your time at home there. These past few months have been anything but predictable and many of us are spending more time at home. So why not redecorate and make your space into something you love and feel comfortable spending time in.

I gave myself a budget for redecorating my bedroom. I set aside a certain amount that I had saved and I also sold a few pieces on Facebook Marketplace and used that money to replace them with items that fit the style I was going for. I’ve always had an eclectic style whether it was fashion or interiors. This time around was no different, I had just opted for less “gold” and more of the Southwestern vibe I’ve always had.

I had been looking for a few new pieces for a while now, keeping in mind how I envisioned my bedroom turning out. I walked into Target one day and found the perfect French Country Easel Mirror. Having let go of my everything has to be gold phase, this was perfect for my space. I quickly decided to get it after looking at my other options. Even better, it was on sale! I went back and bought the wall mirror as well. It’s quite a bit bigger than the mirrors I’ve had in the past for my dresser, but I love it!

I used Facebook Marketplace to sell my gold Ikea shelf, some smaller shelves and a few mirrors I’d collected along the way. After selling my giant gold Ikea shelf, I wanted something smaller and simple to takes its place. I found the perfect little cabinet at HomeGoods.

Now for the rug. The rug that inspired it all. I’ve had my eye on this rug for two years now. Working in the furniture industry I am always seeing new trends and styles, but this one never left my mind. I finally purchased it and am so happy I did! It fits perfect with the theme I’m going for and goes amazing with the wood tone of the mirrors.

I also love how everything looks with my white Ikea dresser and chest. I changed the original drawer pulls to these ones I found on Amazon for under $20!
